Welcome to agileSpecs! This is the Privacy Policy of Rodalo GmbH ("Rodalo" or "we" or "us" or "our"). Rodalo owns and operates the website, including all related agileSpecs websites (the "Service”).

This Privacy Policy (together with our Terms of Use) lets you know how we collect and use the personal information you provide to us or which we collect from you and how we will process such data. Please read this Privacy Policy carefully as by accessing or using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy and the practices described in it.

At Rodalo, your privacy is our top concern. We act in accordance with strict data protection regulations, in particular the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG). We do not sell, publish or share any information about our customers unless given express permission to do so. We take your personal information and privacy very seriously, and are committed to protecting it.

Will This Privacy Policy Ever Change?

We’re constantly trying to improve the Service, so we may change this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page. If a revision meaningfully reduces your rights, we will notify you via email. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page. We encourage you to regularly review this Privacy Policy to make sure you are aware of any changes and how your information may be used. If you disagree with any changes to this Privacy Policy, you will need to stop using the Service.

How We Collect Information From You

Rodalo collects information from customers who sign up with the Service. When you register for the Service we ask for information such as your name and email address. Members who switch to a paid subscription plan are required to enter a billing address and a valid credit card. Rodalo uses collected information for the following general purposes: products and services provision, billing, identification and authentication, service improvement, customer support, notifications of changes and new features, and research.

We use Google Analytics as an analytics provider. To learn more about the privacy policy of Google Analytics, point out Google's Policies and Principles. Use the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to prevent to analytics information from being sent to Google Analytics.

How We Share Your Information

We work with trusted third party service providers to help us provide, improve, protect, and promote the Service. For example, we may use third parties to help host our Service, send out email updates, or process payments. These service providers may have access to or process your Information for the purpose of providing those services for us.

Rodalo may disclose personally identifiable information under special circumstances, such as to comply with subpoenas or when your actions violate these Privacy Policy.


Cookies are small data files that a website you visit may save on your hard drive. They're used for many things, such as remembering whether you've visited the site before, so that you remain logged in. They contain information about the use of your computer but don't include personal information about you (they don't store your name, for instance). A cookie cannot retrieve any other data from your hard drive or pass on computer viruses.

Rodalo uses cookies to collect information that helps us provide the Service to you. Cookies are created when you register, or log in or log out of the Service. They could hold your login data so that you can avoid entering that every time you log in to the Service. We may also use cookies to collect cumulative information on the website use. We may use cookies to assess quantity of simultaneous users, total number of users, traffic volume and to understand use of the Service.

Most Internet browsers accept cookies automatically, but you can change the settings of your browser to erase cookies or prevent automatic acceptance if you prefer. Because cookies are used throughout the Service, disabling them will prevent you from using the Service.

Public Information

Rodalo may produce, host and provide discussion forums, chat rooms, newsgroups, blogs and other public areas to the general public and its customers. Any information shared in these environments is treated as public information and each user is responsible for and should exercise caution when disclosing any personal information on such forums. Rodalo is not responsible for any action taken as a result of information presented or received in public forums, whether moderated or hosted by Rodalo or not. If you post personal information in any of our public forums, you may receive unsolicited email and communications from other parties.

Third Party Websites and Services

When users access our website, there may be links to websites and services owned and operated by third parties. These third party websites and services may have their own privacy policies and are not governed by this Privacy Policy. Rodalo makes no representations or warranties about the policies of third party websites that are linked to Rodalo or any of its Services. Third party websites and services may collect, use and disclose Personal Information differently than us, so we encourage you to carefully read and review the privacy policy for each third party website and service that you access or use.

User Account and Passwords

To access and use the Service you may be required to register a user account. Your account information, email, password and customer profile are password- protected so that you have secure access to entering and editing personal information. It is the user's responsibility to protect the security of their password. Access to the Service is protected by a unique email and password that is known only by you.

Rodalo has designed internal security processes that encrypt customer passwords to protect it from being divulged or accessed by anyone other than you. Neither Rodalo employees nor any of its contractors can obtain or access your password. Rodalo employees nor any of its contractors will ask you for your password via mail, email or telephone nor any other unsolicited manner.

Adding Team Members (Users)

When you add additional users to your project we send them an invitation to join the Service and request such users to provide us with certain additional contact information including such user's email addresses. When you use such a Service, you represent and warrant to us that you have an existing business relationship with such additional user sufficient to avoid liability under any law that applies to unsolicited email. You will be deemed to be the sender of any such email (or other electronic communication) and we will be deemed to solely be a Service Provider facilitating your sending of the email (or other electronic communication).

Right of Information

According to § 34 and § 6b BDSG, you have the right to receive information free of charge about data we have stored about you. According to § 35 BDSG, you are also entitled to delete/block unauthorized data, or to correct incorrect data. In all these cases, please email

How We Keep Your Information Secure

Although no data transmission can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, we take reasonable steps to protect all personal information (according to § 9 BDSG). Rodalo hosts data with hosting service providers at various locations. The servers on which personal information is stored are kept in a controlled environment.

We keep your account information on a secured server behind a firewall. When you enter sensitive information (such as credit card numbers and passwords), we encrypt that information using secure socket layer technology (SSL). The use of SSL is recommended by the German Federal Office for Security in Information Technology.

Rodalo is obliged to exclusively employ staff for the processing of personal data who have committed themselves to maintaining confidentiality pursuant to § 5 BDSG.

We strive to protect your personal information but Rodalo cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information you transmit to the Service. Any data transmissions you make over the Internet are done so at your own risk. Once we receive the data transmission, we make our best efforts to ensure its security and privacy on our systems. For your own security, we recommend using the latest version of your browser and an up-to-date virus scanner.

Rodalo does not save data from address verification for its own use, but rather makes the results available only to the customer as the responsible party. The customer is therefore fundamentally responsible for the information held about those concerned, for the processing of this data and for any corrections, deletions or blocking of the data (according to § 11 (1), § 11 (3) 1 BDSG).
